Board of Director

Born and raised in Vietnam, we met each other and got married in 1989. We lived in a small house in Saigon with our two sons until we moved to the United States in 2010.

Moving to the United States was a difficult decision for both of us, since we had to leave behind what we had built up for ourselves for so many years. However, for the future of our sons and with our great trust in God’s providence, we made that choice.

Coming to the United States with a somewhat empty hand, we decided to stay in Orange County, California and reached out to the Vietnamese community for support. More than what we expected, the community embraced us and provided us with more than we could ever imagine.

Now, our lives have become more and more stable. We bought our very first home, both of our sons graduated from UC Irvine and are pursuing higher education. One of them has chosen to follow his vocation and entered the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic religious order for Priesthood and Brothers.

No matter what happened, we continued to believe that all things are graces from God given to us through the community. Therefore, we keep reminding ourselves to be the ones who channel and spread God’s graces to flow through to those who are in need.

When we take a moment and look at the world around us, we will see that we are more fortunate than so many people who are suffering from the lack of love and compassion. The moment that we can recognize their existence is also the moment we realize that God is calling us to share with them what has given to us. This is the reason why we participate in An Binh Charity Foundation.
